Our Philosphy

Are you tired of long wait times at your PCP office? Scheduling appointments months in advance to see your doctor? How about fighting with your insurance company for coverage of medications and testing?

SO. ARE. WE.

Bridgeport Wellness Center was founded with the goal of improving healthcare to West Virginia residents at an affordable cost. We currently do not take any commercial insurance/medicare/state-funded insurance. The reason is simple: it saves patient's money and it allows our providers to provide individualized care, spending more time with their patients.

Practices that accept insurance spend more time fighting for (low) reimbursement and pay monthly fees for medical billing

By cutting out the middle man (insurance) we are able to provide our own contracted prices with medication suppliers and lab companies. With our healthcare deliver model, we can provide additional services that insurance would not typically cover. With our primary care model, we work for YOU.

Have you ever paid cash for a medication at the pharmacy using good rx or another coupon and realized the price was actually better than if you were to use your insurance? This is just one example of how pharmacies and lab companies mark up prices to insurance companies. And the insurance companies have caught on and passed those costs onto the patient (you) in the form of high deductibles and copays.

The majority of healthy adults will not hit a 2,000 dollar deductible in a year unless they have major surgery or multiple diagnostic tests (ie: MRI, CT scan).

Our primary care model offers price transparency with the majority of costs listed up front, if you unsure of the cost of something, we will gladly provide it to you. There are no surprise bills or marked up medications/lab testing.

We save our patients time and money. By supplying medications in house, there is no waiting at the pharmacy, or showing up to find out "the script isn't ready yet."

If you're tired of OVER paying for healthcare that is less than satisfactory, give us a call or send us an email to hear more.

One of our providers will personally call you back to explain our processes in depth and answer any questions you might have
